Annual Winter Camp 2026 – Mahai, Royal Natal Reserve, Northern Drakensberg

You’re invited to the 2026 Annual Winter Camp at Mahai, Royal Natal Reserve, Northern Drakensberg.
This is a casual weekend for club members and friends to enjoy a usually spectacular winter stay in one of our premier Drakensberg Reserves. (This is not a camp experience like the old July camps. No amenities/catering/other facilities are provided. The campsite facilities are great, hot showers and flush loo’s and well maintained campsites.)
Bring your own everything for camping, including food and braai food for both nights.
MCSA KZN will host the fires for braais on both Friday and Saturday evenings.

We also have a Facebook page dedicated to the Winter Camp with other information about the facilities, hiking and plans around the weekend.
Children are most welcome. Parents, please be responsible for your kids. There is a waterway near the camp.
The campsites have electricity.
Camping is R180 pppn
Various day-hikes are on offer from the camp, or within short driving distance.
