A Youth Training Seminar held at the beautiful Maretlwane Outdoor Learning Centre, in the Magaliesberg. The event was fully subscribed, with seven representatives from different MCSA Sections, three from MCSA Namibia, three from The Mountain Club of Zimbabwe and two from The Mountain Club of Malawi. The event was held over five days.

We hosted the UIAA Youth Commission Meeting in Cape Town, for the first time. This too was a successful event and the participants were subjected to some strenuous exercise and shown around the Peninsula. A Global Youth Summit Meet called “Trekking in South Africa’s Dragon Mountains” and formed part of the annual July Camp held near the Chimney Pots in the Giant’s Castle area.
